Bellona, scream! Unhood the Hawks! the roar of the universes crashing into war -A.C., The book of ThothThe "Lower" paths tend to have a more sensory effect, closer to the body, closer to the practical aspects of life, less abstract... This is the first path from א that does not connect to either Kether or Tiphareth. This is the explosive nature of the relationship between the intellect (Hod) and Nature (Netzach). Mental structures (fantasies, fictions) so carefully constructed are destroyed when nature takes its toll...
a different approach was taken to traverse this path compared to all others. It seems that the process of path traversal has reached a certain threshold where the previous methods are now seen as shallow and superficial. While working this path I lived these past two weeks as if this path was the essence of reality - all events thoughts and feelings were interpreted in terms of it. Basically I lived in it. If/when anxiety or confusion came the focus and attention would shift to The Tower.
Needless to say, it was not an internally peaceful time. Frustrations became more acute though more mitigated in their expression. Had several satori experiences related to the path... they were basically added to the mix. I have a note saying that this card represents a runaway recursion and the subsequent stack overflow.
Other events during this period included a flat bike tire which caused disruption.. on the same day the car tire was flat too. Strange coincidence, though not a synchronicity... I would consider 3 similar events to be that. I took that to be a nod to the Chariot, the other "difficult" path.
Also during that time realized that some people, no matter how close you thought they were, will go away and will shed themselves... nothing explosive just a natural attrition... perhaps a nod to Death.
This path is also the path of liberation from the previous path, "The Devil". The same two figures appear in this one falling off he tower as the ones in The Devil who are chained by their own false beliefs. The Tower is the destruction of false beliefs, a catastrophic, yet liberating experience.
This path is how one escapes The Devil. The experience was a gnawing feeling of restriction inability to express myself or do what I want.
Descriptions/definitions worked with:
- Upright: devolution, downfall, degeneration, decadence, disaster, calamity, tragedy, woes, catastrophe, destruction. Reverse: the same to a lesser degree
- The 27th path is the Active or Exciting Intelligence, and it is so called because through it every existent being receives its spirit and motion
- Break down the fortress of thine individual self, that thy truth may spring free from the ruins. Quarrel, combat, danger, ruin, destruction of plans, sudden death, escape from prison.
- Represents raw force (Mars) destructive force, yet has an implication in terms of a higher aspect that leads to a position of exalted, spiritual psychic and magical power by he who survives the test of its raw destructive force. Endows every being in existence with spirit and movement, thereby giving motion to all life.
- Ambition, fighting, courage, the transformation of self forced by living in an extreme. Learning by opposites. THINK OF HOW SYNCHRONICITY MIGHT WORK.
- Destruction of the individual side. False interpretation of the literal world made void.
